On our way back from Oregon we stopped in Minnesota. This time around I didn’t have a show, though I have enjoyed playing in the state in the past, but for a visit. Both my parents are from MN and most of our close and extended family lives in the area. Every year since I was born my parents and I would travel from Maryland to Minnesota usually by car. I have fond memories of visiting my grandparents and going to places like the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, Fort Snelling, Mill City Museum (pictured below) & of coarse the Mall of America (pictured above). The Mall of America is one place we never miss when we go to Minnesota. Sadly, as the years go on there is less family to visit as the last of my maternal grandparents passed away over four years ago and my paternal grandmother past away almost two years ago. It’s always a reminder to me about how precious time is and how fast it slips away. I’m trying to plan another trip out there again for later in the year.
