Happy New Year! I know it’s a bit late in the month to be saying that but I’m a bit behind on my blog. This post was one I intended to write last November but I was in a car crash that gave me severe whiplash and then I got the flu. 2016 ended on a bit of a physically painful note but the year itself was one I will always remember.
I started touring last year and the joy of touring isn’t just being able to play music night after night but it’s all the wonderful people you get to meet. Both old friends and new.
One place my touring took me was Orlando, FL this trip gave me a lot to reflect on because a little over 10 years ago I visited Orlando with my parents as a gift for graduating high school. Up above you’ll see two pictures of me side by side. The one with Aladdin was taken in 2006 the other one was taken in 2016.
In 2006 I was only dreaming about life as a touring artist, as at that point I was only doing local performing in MD. It amazes me to see how much has changed since that year.
Since 2016 I graduated college, released two CDs, worked with extremely talented musicians, recording engineers and producers, started touring and met people who I could not imagine life without.
This year is looking up be a more spectacular year than last and it’s all thanks to my amazing team and wonderful friends. Thank you for being my companions, champions and confidants. Here’s to another wonderful step in our journey together!
